We stopped in for a midday pick-me-up and ended up staying for a late lunch. We didn't want to leave. We were drawn by the advertised views. Shallow, I know, but our time in Stockholm was way too short. But the stunning views are not the best thing about gondolen. The place is light and airy. The cocktail list was the best we've encountered in scandinavia (our research is patchy here), and competes with the best of london (our here research is thorough and extensive here). The food is excellent and seasonal; wine list is good and a decent selection by the glass. Staff are very thoroughyl professional and absolutely lovely to do business with. And of course, there are the views. But really, this is an excellent restaurant with good prices that happens to have excellent views.
